In Time we Danced

Thoughts evade where sunlight dies,
Pondering listless, reflecting an autumn sky
In an absence, dancing solemnly beneath
The crisp fall air, and the October leaves

Orchid skies exhausting a beautiful scene
With a pen in hand, as ink begins to bleed
Trees sing a song of lingering and time
Answering questions, we will leave behind

Into night as evening begins to fade
This orchid sky, in sunsets momentary haze
Clouds overcome, like pleasing thoughts
Taking time away from tasks we aught

In time we danced in beauty and grace
We forgot everything in our normal race
Time overcame and in a moment we loved
Taking time to pause, and look up above
