Silence Sings

Silence sings, on stormy days
Pulsating rain, falling in waves
Listless now, we rise and say
Into the night, as moonlight saves

Approaching eve, on cloudy skies
Knowing now, we are not so wise
Silence sings, as daylight dies
Knowing not when the sun shall rise

Grey days cast a shadow in a foggy haze
Passing over, our eyes we will raise
Drizzling now, we dance, in a daze
Hovering over a field of baize

Into night, silence sings on high
Still knowing not, still wondering why
To evening, we sing aloud, it is nigh
For, in this moment we aren't so shy
