Through The Door

An enlightened day, awake in the new
New things to say, words that are too few
Distances traveled, closed inside
The dirt and gravel, no spit in your eye

Slow down the thoughts, and all is so clear
New pathways sought, awakened from fear
Bestowed new intellect, awaiting to see
New inner dialect, now I can breath

A yearning to know, a wanting to be
Ways to be shown, something inside me
Contemplate eternity, be forever doomed
A blessing of certainty, never too soon

This much is clear, and I do know
My mind is here, new poetry and prose
Here in a new day, wanting to know more
It was the way, I just walked through the door
