We faded away, along with a thought,
Lost as if to say, we are more than not,
Shackles forbade, listlessly we flow,
With nothing, as if to say, we can’t go,
Within a passing thought, you wane away,
The only one I sought, lost to a new day,
To be more than not, escape the cost,
What lessons love taught, to be forever lost,
Words that set us free, or reject forever,
What’s distant to see, to possibly dissever,
Is that you or me, I’m not sure whether,
It’s truly meant to be, just us together,
Wandering so lonely, as if in a song
Feelings could be phony, doesn’t feel wrong,
Tell me love’s testimony, and make it long,
Reject sanctimony, now it’s gone.
