Slumber Falls

Only nightime understands peace
Slumber falls upon us, as our day shall cease
Wondering and hoping, to our own rhyme
Time becoming more like a pantomime

Though some nights seem sleepless,
A day ensuing in anger, as we remain speachless,
We just want to be by ourselves, to be left alone
Placing our needs on shelves, even if in the wrong

Reality, seeming like something I just can’t grasp
As visions slowly creep behind the mask
Thoughts race Inside a chaotic mind
Chasing dreams as if we were blind

So keep dreaming, my friends, you are beautiful
Your pain, I promise, won’t be as bad as usual
Fly away, until the sun arises from it’s slumber
You’ll remember your beauty, even if outnumbered
